General Summary: The Senior Accountant will perform general accounting duties, assist with fuel accounting processes, period close, financial reporting, and taxes. They provide general accounting support and assistance for the accounting team under the direction of the Controller.

Essential Job Duties:

· Perform various monthly period closing duties, as well as fiscal year end and external audit tasks.

• Assist with fuel accounting processes and related fuel tax filings.
• Perform assigned accounting responsibilities under the direction of Controller.
• Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
• Interact professionally with outside parties and other employees.
• Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with outside parties and other employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited school.

· Five years or more accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in petroleum or retail industry a plus.

· Professional appearance and a positive attitude.

· Team player, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.

· Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Requirements:

This is a sedentary position, with work performed in an office setting, and may include long periods of sitting and looking at a computer screen.
