This position will supervise, participate in, track and evaluate day-to-day activities including A/P, A/R, monthly close, etc. This position will work closely with the Director of Finance to assure that the accounting systems in place are adequate for collecting, analyzing and reporting information to Sr. Management.

Accountant responsibilities include:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting staff

including: 2 reports (1 A/P, 1 A/R)

• month-end and end-year process
• accounts payable/receivable
• cash receipts
• general ledger
• payroll
• budgeting
• revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• capital assets reconciliations
• cost accounting
• check runs
• fixed asset activity
• debt activity
• analyze accounting data and produce financial reports

or statements for both month-end and year-end closing process.

• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document

transactions

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and

receivable

• Produce ad hoc accounting reports as requested
• forecasting
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to

schedule

• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance
