Security Specialist

DarkStar Intelligence is looking for a security specialist to manage and facilitate all facility access for a government client in Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities

• Manage and facilitate all facilities access for approximately 2,500 students and 500 visitors per year.

• Inform leadership of security concerns/issues, verify security clearances/access levels for all students and visitors, coordinate with other agencies as needed to perform duties, provide security briefings to all students during class orientation, and manage the student account process (requesting, disseminating, and facilitating IT support for troubleshooting issues).

• Provide building access and student access area badges to students and issue parking passes to students on each class start date.

• Advocate, review, and update security policies and guidance, address staff or student security access issues, and maintain and change security combinations.

• Conduct activities for staff, guest speakers, and student indoctrinations and debriefings.

• Provide clearance support for part-time personnel supporting courses, collaborate with registrar personnel to validate student rosters, and facilitate the passing of staff clearances to other agencies.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years experience in security.
• Display knowledge and experience using systems to verify security clearances/access levels for personnel.

• Possess the ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical activities simultaneously.

• Excellent oral communication skills.
• US government clearance: Current Top Secret/SCI + CI Poly (preferred)
