SUMMER SCIENCE/TECH Instructors - STEM instructors
Idea Lab Kids is one of the fastest growing STEM program out of Houston. We offer an innovative educational program designed to instill fundamental STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art -Math), and Culinary concepts in students. Through the use of a proprietary curriculum, our programs create a fun learning environment in school age kids via enrichment programs, camps and birthday parties. Our project and design based learning allows the kids to experience the Idea Lab style of enrichment that boosts their creativity, expands their imagination and develops essential critical thinking skills.

We are looking for SUMMER CAMP INSTRUCTORS with Science ( Biology/Chemistry) OR Technology (Engineering/ Computer Science) backgrounds.

The applicant needs to be outgoing individual, excellent communication skills, child friendly attitude, ability to mange a group of kids (about 10-15 kids) in a calm manner along with some experience in teaching Science/Engineering/Coding to school age kids.

The position offers great learning experience in a fun working environment with lots of potential to grow. Curriculum will be provided.

The instructor's responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Teach the children to the best of their ability using the provided curriculum
• Be prepared for all the camps in advance
• Maintain professional conduct while on campus
• Ensure Safety of the kids in class and in recess
• DUE to COVID - 19 will have to follow stricter sanitation and other safety protocols
• Punctuality is a must
• Dependable means of transportation

Education/Experience:

• Science teachers/ College students with Chemistry/Biology/ Engineering/ Computer Science major or Bachelor's in Science preferred
• (*High school graduates/Seniors) with some tutoring/teaching experience considered as well)
• At least 6 months experience in teaching kids
• Must be able to provide references

Job Type: Full time/ Part-time

Salary: $10-$12 per hour
