BlazerWorks, a leading education support organization, is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist to join our team in Annapolis, MD. This is a full-time position, covering the academic year from August 14th to June 14th, and the successful candidate will work with students from grades K to 12.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide counseling and support services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
• Offer guidance and consultation to teachers and staff members regarding strategies to support students' social and emotional well-being.
• Assist in the implementation of school-wide programs aimed at promoting positive behavior and mental health.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on educational planning and interventions.
• Stay up to date with relevant research and best practices in the field of school psychology.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field.
• Valid certification as a School Psychologist in the state of Maryland (or eligibility to obtain certification).
• Strong knowledge of educational assessment tools and methods.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.
• Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
