Overview
Applicant must demonstrate proficiency of tasks within 45 calendar days or return to their former classification. A 14-calendar day trial period will apply to this position for an employee that has previously held a comparable position within Field Operations. A vacancy shall be filled by selection of the senior applicant, as determined by the seniority provisions within the collective bargaining agreement, who has the minimum qualifications for trial.

Requirements of Job
- Maintain compliance with established Company saw cutting performance standards.
- Provide complete and accurate records, and timesheets relative to the assigned tasks.
- Utilize vehicles and equipment properly, advising proper authorities when repair or maintenance is required.
- Maintain attention to the safety needs of the public and the employees, both around the worksite and within the job procedure, including setting up traffic control when necessary.
- Understand and comply with Local, State and Federal regulations as they pertain to C&M activities.
- Perform the duties of a C&M Technician C as required on a rotating basis or when workload does not require normal saw cutting duties.
- Must maintain Operator Qualifications related to Construction and Maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school education or the equivalent.
- Must have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgment.
- Must pass DOT physical and qualifying tests.
- Must attain and maintain Federal Mandated Operator Qualification.
- Must have a valid driver s license and be an approved driver of Company vehicles.
- Must possess a CDL A driver's license with air brake endorsement.
- Must possess or attain a valid Hazwoper Certification.
- O.T. drug testing is a requirement for this position.
- Ability to understand specifications and company drawings.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Must pass EEI CAST pre-employment assessment
