OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
The Sanitation Team Member reports to the Plant Manager. S/he must develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, suppliers, and customers. The Sanitation Team Member will work in a team approach with the staff, management team, vendor partners, and customers to establish, maintain, measure, and revise Cypress Valley’s operational systems. S/he must be a team player who is reliable and understands their dependability is important for the team’s success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Use approved chemicals to clean and disinfect surfaces

Disassemble, clean, and sanitize food processing equipment

Clean and sanitize floors

Follow all safety practices
-
Assure that all quality standards are followed

Report potential issues to management
-
Attend all staff and department meetings if applicable
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED certificate preferred

Sanitation experience preferred

Understands the necessary safety requirements when operating in a food preparation environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds, etc.)

Good hand-eye coordination

Job Type: Part-time, $60.00 per shift, shift hours may vary slightly, shifts usually last 4 hours
Compensation: Starting at $60.00 per shift, depending upon experience. Opportunity for a pay increase based on performance at 90 day evaluation. We believe in rewarding a job well done. Experience is preferred but not necessary. On the job training is provided.
