Robot Programmer

We are currently looking to fill the positions of Robot Programmer (ABB, Fanuc) at our Chicago, IL location. The Robot Programmer will work with Engineers and System Design & Integration Team to program SIGMA Collaborative Robots, as well as ABB, Fanuc and Kuka Robots.

Responsibilities:

- Program ABB and Fanuc Robots

- Perform tests on the robots such as ABB, Fanuc, Kuka, Yaskawa to ensure of Robots are running programs according to plans.

- Modify PLC programs and ladder logic in Automation Direct, Allen Bradley, Siemens, if needed

- Troubleshoot existing automation, robots, vision systems, and controllers to develop creative solutions.

- Perform automation equipment testing to ensure commissioned equipment meets the requirements.

- Work with outside vendors to select and specify programming needs.

- Create Programs in ABB Robot Studio, and Fanuc Roboguide

- Maintain documentation of program/process changes.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Associate Degree or High School degree, Robotics or Automation experience

- Minimum 3 years ABB/ Fanuc Robot Programming experience and some Motion Control, PLCs, Programming, and implementation.

- Basic understanding of Pneumatics, Electrical and Mechanical Assembly.

- Some Experience in HMI Programming, Allen Bradley, Automation Direct and/or Siemens.

- Experience in at least one of ABB, Fanuc, Kuka or Yaskawa Robot Programming languages.

Some Experience in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD or Fusion 360, AutoCAD Schematic Drawings.

- Proficient at reading and drafting electrical diagrams.

- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills.

- Flexible and able to work with different teams and meet the timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
