Part-Time (RN) Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist

Responsibilities (RN) Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist:

• Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors. This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility.
• Works closely with department heads to assess the on-going learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Qualifications (RN) Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist:

• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Leadership Experience
• Communication Skills
• Computer knowledge.
• CPR certified
• CDC Infection Control Training Certification preferred

License:

• Must have an Active RN or license.
