Facilities Maintenance Technician

The facilities technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining dealership buildings and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle repairs on facilities equipment and building.
• Perform specialized tasks including but not limited to; plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, vinyl application, and taping.
• Replaces and unclogs hair traps, unclog toilets.
• Paint interior and exterior parts of dealerships and corporate office.
• Maintains and replaces electrical outlets and light bulbs. Rewires or replaces wiring in various equipment used by the facilities.
• Installs and check batteries of smoke alarms in all locations.
• Check all fire extinguishers and assist the fire Marshall with inspections.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and records necessary information.
• Remove and relocate office furniture including disassembling and reassembling.
• Provide associates, customers and vendors with friendly customer service.
• Other various duties as assigned by Manager.

Environmental & Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds
• This position may require up to 75% travel between Springfield & West Springfield in facility locations.

Skills & Qualifications

• A current valid driver's license and insurabilty rating is required
• 1-3 years' experience in facility maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task effectively & efficiently
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
