Responsible for maintaining integrity of all defined benefit, defined contribution, and deferred compensation plan administration data. Performs contribution processing and reconciliation, plan audits, and prepares reports and census data. Monitors all system integrations pertaining to retirement plans. Assists in fulfillment of regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of defined benefit and/or defined contribution administration and related systems experience.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, vlookup and PIVOT tables) and Access database creation and maintenance. Demonstrated ability working with large data sets, queries, and data imports/exports.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant regulations, including DOL, ERISA, and IRS.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work product.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain strong sense of time management.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to explain information clearly and concisely to individuals with varying levels of subject matter knowledge.
  • Ability to collaborate with team and work independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

DATA & AUDIT. Performs routine, comprehensive audits of plan and participant data including, but not limited to, automatic enrollment compliance, deferral elections, plan eligibility, vesting status, pension commencement and payments. Performs contribution reconciliation and funding each pay cycle. Calculates annual match and true-up contributions. Performs periodic system batch calculations and validates data. Performs periodic system batch calculations and validates data. Maintains in-depth knowledge of plan provisions pertaining to plan eligibility, pension calculations, and data management.

CONFIGURATION & INTEGRATION. Monitors retirement-related integrations; collaborates with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot issues and test system updates. Participates in system configuration and updates in HRM system. Manages multiple Access databases; updates tables and queries as needed. Prepares data for annual audits, valuations, required mailings, compliance activities and system updates. Partners with vendor to complete annual non-discrimination testing. Displays an understanding and skilled use of the various HRM databases, web-based applications, and flow of system interfaces.

REGULATORY. Stays abreast of regulatory developments pertaining to ERISA, IRS and DOL requirements. Monitors internal data practices to ensure compliance with various laws and regulations. Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
