What We're Looking For

Bay Watch Resort in North Myrtle Beach, SC by Vacasa is seeking a hard-working, energetic employee who is passionate about delivering on the promise of excellence in customer service. By providing personalized attention to our guests and owners, you will help us maintain our quickly growing portfolio of vacation homes. The right candidate for this role will have a passion for hospitality, a customer first mentality, and a "can-do" attitude. Bay Watch Resort by Vacasa sets the standard for vacation rentals by offering hotel amenities, 24/7 service, and food and beverage services in a full-service hotel environment. At the end of the day, owner and guest experience is what matters and anything we can do to help make it a POSITIVE one is what we do! Bay Watch Resort by Vacasa is looking for an enthusiastic and strong leader to join our team as Resort Services Manager. A successful candidate in this role has strong communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate is a team player willing to step in and help out in any department including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, homeowner relations, and food and beverage.

The goal obviously is to strive for seamless operation and stellar guest service each day within the resort.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee operations at a resort location
  • Oversee and support the food and beverage team with menu creation, staffing, Banquet Event Orders (BEO) execution, and daily closing duties of four revenue outlets
  • Inspect properties to locate any unresolved maintenance items or opportunities for upgrades
  • Delegate owner or guest concerns and requests to appropriate team; follow up to ensure completion
  • Support your team with escalated guest and homeowner concerns by responding to guest and owner emails, calls and tickets
  • Meet and maintain Vacasa standards and metrics such as NPS, standard unit appearance, and efficiency
  • Direct and manage an efficient and high-quality team, ensuring they are trained, effective, and adhere to all Vacasa policies and procedures
  • Complete property inspections to ensure all HOA bulk service areas are maintained; report and address any areas of concern or safety issues
  • Make recommendations for capital improvements; source vendors and bids.
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with fellow regional team members, resort department managers, and upper management team
  • Provide cross-coverage for Department Managers and General Manager when necessary
  • Conduct regular inspections prior to guest and owner arrivals

Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical computer skills required on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets and mobile devices
  • Professional in all forms of communications such as email, phone calls, video calls and texts
  • Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions
  • Highly responsive and reliable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior food and beverage experience a plus
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Availability to work Sunday through Saturday afternoon and evening shifts. Ability to work day shift if providing cross coverage for another department.
  • Occasional need to perform housekeeping and maintenance duties as necessary
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time
    • Reach overhead and below the waist
    • Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
    • Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
    • Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist

Compensation

  • $45,000 - $50,000 / year
