Rsrch Techt I: Associate's degree in a related field and one or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.� Grade NB1

Rsrch Techt II: Bachelor's degree in a related field and one or more years of research experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Grade ND1

Position Description:

A Research Technologist I/II position is available in the Center for Cardiometabolic Science at the University of Louisville, with title determined by education, experience, and qualifications. �Research will focus on understanding how changes in metabolism influence cardiac remodeling or contribute to overall cardiovascular health.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in ongoing studies in the laboratory
  • Help maintain study animals and a clean laboratory
  • Prepare and analyze biological samples
  • Perform basic biochemical assays and data analyses
  • Regularly present and communicate findings
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, physiology, or related field of Science
  • Six months of related experience and experience in at least one or more of the following: animal handling, PCR, western blotting, or cell culture.
  • Excellent Organization Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Target Compensation Maximum:

$26.61

Target Compensation Minimum:

$15.41

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
