Job Title : Release Manager

Duration : 12 Months

Work Location : Evansville, IN 47708

This candidate should be located within a commutable distance to one of our offices located in Baltimore MD, Charlotte NC, Wilmington DE, Evansville IN, Chicago IL, or Irving TX, and be willing to come into the office at least 2 days per week.

Top skills would be experience with waterfall and agile release methodologies, prior release management, and experience with JIRA and ServiceNow.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory Skills . The Release Manager position will report to the Production Operations organization. This role will be responsible to drive processes for handling of Technology releases, with the goal of maximizing release quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum experience of 5 years working in a Technology organization
• Minimum experience of 2 years working as a Release Manager, or in a role that involved managing & executing releases
• Experience with Agile Software development and/or CI-CD framework; also experience shifting an organization from a Waterfall model to an Agile model
• Analytical mindset and ability to grasp complex topics
• Understanding of application and infrastructure stacks and technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to multi-task with multiple priorities
• Proven ability to establish and maintain positive customer and team member relationships

Nice ToHave:

• ITIL training certification
• Project management experience
• Experience as a user of the ServiceNowplatform and JIRA for Change or Release Management
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling for deployments
• Hands-on experience deploying changes and releases

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 per hour
