Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with complex medical conditions, under the supervision of the nursing supervisor. The incumbent will be working in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients who require ongoing monitoring, medication, and interventions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions in the Progressive Care Unit
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, and manage patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, and provide education to patients and their families
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and intervene appropriately to ensure patient safety
• Respond to patient, family, and physician concerns and requests in a professional and timely manner
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Follow infection control policies, HIPAA regulations, and other organizational policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, with experience in progressive care preferred
• Must possess a BSN degree; MSN preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
