Position: Registered Nurse (RN) & Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Currently seeking PART TIME & FULL TIME!! (All Shifts)

Salary: $25 - $35 an hour

MCC Healthcare Services Inc. is a private duty nursing agency that cares for pediatric clients in their home. We are currently working on expanding to Northwest suburbs and North suburbs. Headquarters located in Evergreen Park, IL.

Responsibilities:

1.Provides skilled nursing care to clients as directed by the registered nurse and physician’s plan of care in accordance with agency policies.

2.Promotes and maintains client health through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures under the guidance of the registered nurse who is assigned to the same case.

3.Assists clients in learning appropriate self-care techniques.

4.Helps to achieve and maintain continuity of client care by assisting in planning and exchanging information with other health professionals.

5.Prepares clinical progress notes and follows client care plans as developed by the registered nurse and according to agency policy.

6.Assists the physician and registered nurse in performing specialized procedures for which competency has been established.

7.Prepares equipment and materials for treatments observing aseptic technique as required.

8.Keeps abreast of changes and trends affecting nursing care and licensed nurse functions.

9 .Communicates current health status and needs of clients to appropriate health professionals.

Qualifications: RN

· Successful completion of a degree in nursing as a Registered Nurse from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing.

· Licensed to practice professional nursing in the state.

· Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.

Qualifications: LPN

· Successful completion of a certified licensed practical nursing program.

· Licensed to practice as a practical/vocational nurse in the state.

· Minimum of one year of clinical experience.

Knowledge and Abilities: RN/LPN

· Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to and communicate with primarily the pediatric population, and to a lesser degree the geriatric and adult populations.

· Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.

· Able to assess data reflecting the client’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed identify each client’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs.

*DEGREE OF TRAVEL
*Home visits daily. Periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation and agency-required liability insurance.

*DEGREE OF DISRUPTION TO ROUTINE, OVERTIME
*Must be able to adapt to client status and needs as directed. Schedule changes daily due to staffing, client condition and needs, new clients.

• Associate (Preferred)
