Job Description

Provide effective establishment, implementation, application and continuous improvement of Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives, agenda, principles and requirements in alignment and compliance with North America and Global policies and procedures. Primary quality support resource for sites within specified regional area, providing subject matter expertise regarding quality for our operations. Manage and continually improve the DHL Supply Chain Quality Management System (QMS) through delivery of central QA responsibilities in North America (N.A.).

• Engaged with site level support to quality and operations personnel as required in assigned regional area
• Provide oversight to operations with implementing industry quality certifications (ISO, SQF, etc.)
• Provides guidance and resources to support operations with external audits from certifying bodies and regulators
• Maintain and continually improve N.A. Standard Operating Procedures and maintain systematic document control
• Develop, maintain and continually improve site level training on QMS and the systems used to deploy training
• Verify and analyze quality metrics and create executive management reporting
• Monitor and analyze site CAPA management, internal audits, quality self-assessments, management review, and create executive management reporting
• Support Project Delivery team with quality elements required for a successful start-up
• Support OMS team with OMS implementations and ongoing site support as it relates to the quality elements of OMS
• Support CI teams as required
• Support Business Development teams with quality related items for pursuits
• Drives agreed Global Quality team initiatives within the region

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience, required
• MBA or higher level degree, preferred
• 7+ years of experience in leading non-specialists in technical and regulatory applications, required
• Experience and working knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and methodologies
• Certified Quality Auditor, preferred
• ISO 9001, ISO 13485, SQF and/or other certification training, preferred
• Experience conducting/leading successful acquisition of certifications and accreditations (e.g. ISO, SQF, FSMA, AIB, etc.) of a relatively large and complex organization and subsequent management of a quality system, preferred
• Lean experience and certification, preferred
