Position Summary

Able to immobilize and simulate treatment fields. Position patient in accordance to patient setup. Administer radiation treatments.

Facility has state of the art equipment - Become part of a growing Radiation Oncology department in the Center for Cancer Care in White Plains, NY.

The department was renovated in 2018 and has cutting edge technology including the Varian True Beam and True Beam Edge.

All patients of the Commission on Cancer accredited WPH Center for Cancer Care have access to not only exceptional physicians and the latest technology, but also a full complement of supportive services from navigation, genetic counseling, nutrition, Palliative medicine, social work, financial assistance, and more.

Patients also have access to research trials.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must be able to immobilize and simulate treatment fields provided by treatment planning and Radiation Oncologist instructions.
• Perform radiation treatments to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of Radiation Oncologist.
• Prepares room and provides education to patients. Adheres to hospital wide customer service programs.
• Assumes responsibilities to include knowledge of equipment; review each patient's chart; maintain complete and accurate patient records; maintaining continue education requirements; perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• Graduate of a committee of allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited radiography program or equivalent.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or equivalent.

NEED EXPERIENCED RAD THERAPISTS

Current New York State License in Radiologic Technology Current registry in the A.R.R.T.

Experience preferred. Specialized skill: License and registered in Radiotherapy.

Continuing education requirements to meet the standards.
