Tasteful Selections is seeking applicants for a QC Supervisor, who will oversee QC personnel at our facility in Arvin, CA.

Relationships

The QC Supervisor will report directly to the QC Manager and will work closely with QC Personnel, Production Team members, Shipping department, and other facility management.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensure all quality control related products are up to standard
• Participates in the investigation of and response to customer complaints for quality
• Monitor product quality throughout the packaging process
• Ensure final product meets grade specifications prior to shipment
• Work with QC Manager to identify areas of improvement in packing line and optimize systems
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory record-keeping
• Provide regular communication to QC Manager regarding the quality of on-hand inventory
• Oversee inbound deliveries for quality and raw products
• Oversee adherence to product specs and offer guidance to employees regarding out of spec product and packaging
• Provide regular work direction to QC personnel engaged in inspection and testing activities to maintain continuous control over materials, facilities, and products
• Establish and revise quality expectations of finished products to increase and sustain product reliability to minimize costs related to poor quality.
• Facilitate and manage product hold and reject processes
• Work on special projects for the QC Department
• Work with QC/QA data software systems
• All other essential job functions as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality control in manufacturing or distribution setting
• Working knowledge of QC/QA methodologies and implementation within manufacturing environments
• Proficient in the use of Windows based computer programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and a general aptitude with software systems, including statistical analysis software
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to train and work with operational personnel
• Experience in leading and supervising people in a manufacturing or distribution setting
• Candidates must be eligible to work unrestricted in the U.S. without company sponsorship to be considered for this position
• Ability to comprehend, read, write and communicate proficiently in English and interact with all levels of the

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience with agriculture, produce, or food manufacturing processes
