Job Summary: Under the direction of the QMIG Director and Manager, the Lead Quality Assurance Coordinator will support QMIG and other operational departments by developing key quality metrics, analysis tools, reporting tools and dashboards as well as continued analysis of key organizational areas to identify quality issues and potential improvements. The Lead Quality Assurance Coordinator will have cross-functional responsibilities and will support various departments. The Lead Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for completing secondary and initial quality reviews on documents, claims, clinical reviews, etc. This position will contribute, monitor and report on the success of key tactical strategies as well as identify opportunities for the department and the organization as a whole. This position will interact with all levels of management, external clients, external members and various state and federal regulatory auditors. Detailed analysis and summary reporting will be an essential function of this position. The Lead Quality Assurance Coordinator will also be responsible for developing and maintaining internal department training and metrics.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain various analysis and reporting tools with extensive use of Word, Excel, Access, Visio and SharePoint.

2. Utilize COGNOS reporting software to develop and query routine and adhoc monitoring reports.

3. Develop and maintain various Frameworks, Policies, Desktop Procedures, Process Flows, Dashboards, reports and work documents on a regular basis.

4. Facilitate regular meetings with Business Owners and Management staff of various departments to identify quality concerns and coordinate improvement efforts.

5. Identify and investigate issues and develop a clear summary with a focus on root cause analysis and proposed resolutions.

6. Complete Quality Assessment projects in short timeframe requirements with a high level of accuracy.

7. Will provide additional resource support to all areas within the QMIG department and may also provide resource support to other operational areas as needed.

8. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience and skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency with database management tools and presentation of data analysis.
  • COGNOS Business Software knowledge is preferred.
  • Medical and/or pharmaceutical background highly desired.
  • Prior Quality Assurance background highly desired.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to produce work at the highest level of quality.
  • Must be dependable and motivated.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills necessary.
  • Willingness to cross-train in several disciplines.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in high pressure situations and conform to tight deadlines is required.
  • High School Diploma required.
