What we are looking for:

The Purchasing agent is responsible for creating purchase orders for the acquisition of materials. Creating and maintaining the production schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Place purchase orders based on MRP reporting and analysis.
  • Coordinate flow of material from vendors to production in a timely fashion.
  • Take active role in material forecasting.
  • Maintain the production schedule.
  • Develop and maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Assist in monthly inventory count.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of prior work experience desired.
  • Purchasing experience in a high-volume work environment is desired.
  • College degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is desired.
  • NetSuite experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
  • Prior experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite highly preferred.
  • Detail oriented

Work Environment:

  • Office Setting, primarily in cubicles. Moderate to high noise levels (i.e. business office with computers, phone, printers, moderate traffic)
  • Ability to sit or stand (standing desk provide upon request) at a computer terminal for an extended period

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate (talk/sign/type/write) and operate a computer, telephone (or alternative), keyboard (or typing device), etc.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts

Other Details:

Stem offers a competitive salary and a full list of benefits, including full health benefits on the first day of employment. Employer paid vision/LTD/STD/Life, 401k eligibility on first day of employment with match (first 3% contribution matched at 100%, next 2% contribution matched at 50%) and no vesting period, 9 paid calendar holidays per year, and participation in the Flexible PTO Plan. This position is eligible to participate in the Stem Long Term Incentive plan, by granting Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). These RSUs will be awarded within the first quarter of employment and vesting 33%, 33%, and 34% on each of the first three anniversaries of the grant date. This is a salaried exempt position, M-F, with additional weekend work as required.

Salary Range: $51,050 - $61,300/annually
