Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Resilience Water team in Buffalo, NY.

Role description:
In this role, you will work alongside senior-level engineers, project engineers and our accounting and finance teams to support our delivery of projects consistent with client expectations, Arcadis’ quality processes and on-schedule and on-budget. You will be a critical member of our team and be expected to support our proven reputation of excellence in Client and Project Management along with executing projects and managing project pursuits within the municipal Water/Wastewater market of this region.
Role accountabilities:
- Assist our Engineers with managing scope, schedule, and budget for tasks and projects for our municipal clients. Projects will include planning, design and construction of water/wastewater treatment plants, storm water systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations as well as creating construction documents, specifications, and providing engineering services during construction
- Become an Arcadis Certified Project Manager (CPM) and take on accountability for project management on assigned projects.
- Understand all client-specific invoicing requirements and ensure they are met.
- Support our Senior Engineers and Project Managers on resource management requirements and scheduling.
- Serve as a liaison between our Senior Engineers and our internal Accounting and Finance and Legal teams to ensure contracts and sub-contracts meet required needs, invoices are promptly managed and payments are distributed.
- Technical report writing and review for both proposals and project delivery.
- Prepare cost estimates and proposals
- Work effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
- Coordinate work schedules with Arcadis staff and subconsultants
- Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards
- May require some regional travel for field visits up to 10%-20% of the time
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Science major
- 5 years of demonstrated project/program experience with increasing responsibilities
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Flexible to work with a variety of project teams locally and across remote offices
- Experience in development and execution of technical projects
- Leadership experience; including managing project delivery expectations, prioritization of tasks, and mentoring staff
- Experience or desire for client facing role with skills to include preparation and development of proposals, managing client expectations and overall relationship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the water/wastewater or environmental consulting field (or similar industrial experience)
- Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $70,800 - $106,200.
