The Project Engineer, CPD VAVE will perform design engineering activities for Current Product Development projects on faucet products. Often working without constant guidance, a Project Engineer will bring a high level of technical skill and product understanding in the areas of design, analysis, development and testing of products and components. Primary responsibilities include Value Add / Value Engineering (VAVE) and other cost reduction activities on faucet product lines and components.
- Maintain state-of-the-art awareness of relevant product technologies, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Use VAVE methods to analyze products and platforms for cost savings opportunities.
- Originate ideas for product and component features, modifications, and for new products.
- Prepare alternate design concept models and drawings using Creo software.
- Determine the technical feasibility of VAVE changes, modifications or product redesigns.
- Assure functional acceptability and code compliance through testing and analysis.
- Perform cost benefit analysis and annualized savings for VAVE projects.
- Organize the execution of VAVE and cost reduction activities across multiple plants, worldwide.
- Be accountable for all product design details including part tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance stack analysis and evaluation of form, fit and function.
- Create BOMs, engineering change requests and release the revised designs in Windchill database and SAP.
- Establish priorities, action plans, and timelines for multiple projects. Monitor and take appropriate action to achieve project objectives. Indirect management of projects is likely.

Skills/Requirements
Sr Project Engineer Level:
- Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum of 4 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of CAD modeling, Creo/Windchill experience preferred.
- Hands on fabrication and prototyping skills.
- Experience with SAP is a positive, as well as the demonstrated ability to research and manage product data.
- International and domestic travel as needed.
Project Engineer Level:
- Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of CAD modeling.
- Hands on fabrication and prototyping skills.
- International and domestic travel as needed.
Engineer Level
- Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of CAD modeling.
- Hands on fabrication and prototyping skills.
- International and domestic travel as needed.
