Job Summary
Located in Frankfort, Ky.
This position serves as the section supervisor for the Early Childhood Promotion Section at the Kentucky Department for Public Health. Programs offered by this section include Health Access Nurturing Development Services ( HANDS ), Kentucky Strengthening Families, Help Me Grow, and Connect the Dots. and Early Childhood Mental Health. Collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders and partners to achieve positive outcomes for young children is a critical component of this position. Responsibilities include coordinating the work of all the Early Childhood Promotion Section staff, monitoring program status through reports, timelines, staff meetings; ensuring program-related materials are reviewed for content and accuracy; ensuring all federal reports and applications are submitted timely; overseeing use of funds by local health departments to ensure all resources are maximized; and representing the Department for Public Health.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, esp. Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong verbal and written skills. Excellent organizational skills and initiative to continuously improve.

Preferred Education/Experience
Master’s level education in public health or related degree. Experience in grant writing at the state or federal level. Experience in working in a professional work environment.
