GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Oversee and direct plant floor activities to improve efficiency, labor distribution, ZERO Defects, and uptime by utilizing all resources provided. This position will be directly responsible for establishing and maintaining a team-centric workplace that is focused on People, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The role requires total oversight of team member engagement, safety, quality, production schedule attainment, and operational effectiveness (efficiency, scrap, and downtime).

  • Manage and direct production floor activities of employees with a focus on optimizing all resources (manpower, methods, materials, and machines) to obtain the daily production schedule and meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Assign operators to work stations on a daily basis. Ensure that each assigned member is capable of efficiently performing the delegated task to the necessary quality standards.
  • Must maintain a high degree of plant floor visibility throughout the shift. This would include a complete “walk through” of the entire area at least twice per shift. The “walk through” process reviews the conformance of parts and verifies operational effectiveness.
  • Motivate others to perform well by exhibiting confidence in self and others, inspire respect and trust, react well under pressure and show courage to take action.
  • Complete production reports accurately and turn in before leaving plant. All production activities must be documented appropriately including run time, gross production, scrap, downtime by reason code/occurrence, and all related labor activities to support the effective execution of production goals.
  • Ensure safety of all employees, enforce usage of appropriate PPE, and actively support safety policies set forth by the company and OSHA.
  • Ensure that all injuries and incidents are reported, investigated properly and turned in the day of the injury or incident. Investigations must be thorough and should include employee statements, sketches, and diagrams to ensure all relevant facts are documented.
  • Must ensure that all Quality Standards and Procedures are enforced.
  • Hold all employees accountable for their actions and the quality of the parts they produce, with the goal being ZERO defects and consistently enforce all plant rules.
  • Maintain a neat and clean environment at all times and ensure team members comply with 5S program.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership.
  • 3-5 years of fast paced manufacturing leadership or commensurate experience

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Revere Plastics Systems Orientation, Quality Orientation

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/TASKS/ABILITIES:

  • Must have good attendance habits that exceed current policy.
  • Working knowledge of IQMS a plus.
  • Ability to interface and communicate, with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Problem solving, organization and communication skills, team player.
  • Ability to pay attention to details.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stand at a machine for the entire shift.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Frequently required to handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Facility is temperature controlled.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
