Nissin Precision North America, Inc. is “Confidence in Precision Stamping”. Formerly known as Englewood Precision Inc. (EPI), Nissin Precision North America is a metal stamping and welded assembly facility located in Englewood, Ohio.
The Production Supervisor directs and coordinates activities of 3rd shift, including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Materials and Tooling departments by performing the following duties personally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interacts with Quality Department for APQP, 8D-Corrective Action, and all other customer related issues.
Maintain compliance with the Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures.
Interacts in preparing operational schedules with the Production Scheduler and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do. Provide the safest possible workplace to our employees by modeling and following all company safety policies, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately. Wear all PPE as required by work area or job function.
Conduct daily/weekly meetings with production associates to communicate recent safety, quality, and production department updates.
Participate in weekly meetings with all manufacturing departments to communicate the status of all new products, customer concerns, and safety related issues.
Manage and lead production staff and operators so that products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards.
Demonstrate a true 'shop floor presence'. Work closely with operators, engineering, and quality to understand the current state. Initiate, lead, and maintain continuous improvement efforts.
Develops all levels of the production team. Drives consistency and accountability on all policies, procedures and expectations throughout the production organization.
Assures all production data is compiled, stored, and retrieved.
Basic competency in the MS Office Suite of products
Automotive Manufacturing experience / Assembly / Processing (stamping)
Above average communication skills – oral, written and presentation
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.S or B.A.) from four-year college or university with three to five years related metals manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
