Role Overview
We are looking for:
You will be part of the global composite R&I team, actively participating in the development of innovative thermoplastic composite materials to create value-added systems and sustainable technologies. In your role you will work in partnership with the company’s engineers, marketing, and commercial teams to develop materials in support of various market segments.

To explore and research innovative composite concepts in line with strategic goals- Lead and document research on composite materials, including:
- Chemical/thermal/physical analysis
- Mechanical/environmental performance
- Microstructural characterization
- Develop technologies and mature them to suitable readiness level for transfer to production, providing support throughout the “New Product Introduction” process
- Effectively communicate results through presentations and reports
- Provide full, complete, and accurate documentation of all work as required by SOPs and Company policies and procedures
- Jointly work with other team members to maintain a safe lab work environment and implement safe operating procedures to ensure an accident-free record and maintenance of compliance

You will bring:
- Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, or a related subject
- Knowledge of polymer chemistry, polymeric materials, and material characterization
- At least three years of experience in composites (academic study is acceptable)
- Experience in managing/mentoring of others
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams to tackle technical problems
- Motivated self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple projects/tasks at any given time
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Understanding of structure-property relationship in polymers and composites
- Experience in data science (python, VBA, statistics tools)
You will get:
- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $91,000 to $130,000. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives
