QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Customer Service/Produce Experience Preferred
• High School Diploma/GED Preferred
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Working Knowledge Of Produce Quality, Hygiene, Safety
• Good Communication And Organizational Skills
• Ability To Work As Part Of A Team As Well As Independently
• Basic Math Skills
• Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job such as lifting and carrying heavy items, climbing ladders, squatting and standing for long periods of time

RESPONSIBLITIES:

The produce clerk is responsible for ensuring that Clovis Grocery Outlet's produce department is maintained in a clean, safe and appealing state to its customers. Duties of this position include ordering product, daily maintaining correct pricing and signage, stocking items on shelves, removing expired product and building and merchandising clean, appealing displays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Comply with all company policies and federal regulations and standards.
• Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be stocked, culled, rotated or replenished.
• Ensure that stock is filled up and ready for business by early morning and replenished mid-afternoon.
• Receives, opens, & unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking shipping ticket against items received.
• Assures accurate prices on merchandise.
• Sets up displays, advertising and C.O.O.L signs.
• Stocks shelves, coolers, counters, bins, tables, containers, or trays with new merchandise.
• Cleans shelves, bins, display tables and coolers.
• Breakdown and remove cardboard from store.
• Unload delivery trucks.'
