Empire Dermatology is looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team!
The Prior Authorization Specialist will provide patients a friendly and timely experience checking in and out of appointments. They will also manage drafting and submitting medication prior authorizations and appeals.
The Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with the ability to multitask. They will have customer service experience and experience working in a pharmacy.

Prior Authorization Specialist Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients
- Verify patient information and update patient charts
- Answer incoming calls
- Submit Prior Authorizations for Medications
- Draft appeals and letters of medical necessity
- Communicate with patients pertaining to their Prior Authorization for Medications, appeal, and appointments
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Pharmacy Experience
