Compensation Consultant, Principal
Summary
Participate in the design, implementation, and administration of the company's compensation programs. In collaboration with People Business Partners, and Performance & Rewards expert partners, apply compensation best practices and subject matter expertise to ensure that compensation programs support business objectives, are competitive with market practices and are applied consistently and efficiently across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Act as compensation business partner, strategic solution provider and specialist advisor to People Business Partners and company leadership by combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business and market landscape
· Identify opportunities, improve compensation programs, policies, and processes to ensure they support being an Employer of Choice. Diagnose gaps between current and desired states and develop tactics and strategies to resolve those gaps, shaping the decision-making process and influencing partners as appropriate
· Determine appropriate benchmark matches and other data parameters for participation in the completion of salary survey submissions.
· Provide expert consulting on base salary, bonus, and equity programs.
· Analyze and participate in compensation surveys to assess company’s competitive position
· Designs reports, corrects erroneous data, performs analysis, prepares findings update for management
· Implements and administers compensation policies and programs.
· Audits jobs for content, performs job evaluations and job matching and market prices jobs accordingly.
· Conducts FLSA review of jobs.
· Contributes input to the design of recognition and reward program(s)
· Performs project management for parts of projects and/or contributes data for projects.
· Develop a network of Compensation professionals for ongoing knowledge of pay practices and shifting trends
· Deliver training to people teams and managers on compensation philosophy and programs
Key Education, Skills, Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in related field
· 7-10 plus years of directly related compensation experience in advising and analyzing roles with understanding and experience of tech industry market and trends
· Certified Compensation Professional (Preferred)
· Adaptable and comfortable shifting between high-level design, collaborating work, analytical and operational work
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
· Partnership and influencing skills, communication skills and customer support at all levels of the company locally and globally
· Independent, self-starter with the ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity in a sophisticated matrix structure.
· Excellent process management, planning and organizational skills. Resilient and determined to ensure projects and results are achieved.
· Deep knowledge of competitive market pay practices, with strong networking skills.
· Proven ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
· Pragmatic, quick-thinking, and action oriented to drive for results, with solid bias for customer service.
· Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
· High integrity and ethics in handling confidential information.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $76.00 - $130.00 per hour
