Internal Medicine and Family Practice Physicians are encouraged to consider an outstanding practice opportunity with Liberty Healthcare at the Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta, Maine.A full-time Primary Care Physician position is now available on the Riverview Psychiatric Center hospital medical staff through Liberty Healthcare.
The Riverview Psychiatric Center, in collaboration with the community, is a center for best practice, treatment, education and research, for individuals with serious, persistent mental illness, and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. The hospital is operated by the State of Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services and selected clinicians at the hospital work through a collaborative long-term agreement with Liberty Healthcare.
In this role you will provide a full range of primary care medical services to a small caseload of hospital patients and facilitate referrals for specialty care as necessary.
You will work collaboratively with fellow members of the hospital medical staff – including Psychiatrists, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, you will be supported by a team of RNs and array of ancillary clinicians.
The work schedule associated with this position is Monday through Friday during regular daytime hours. There are no after-hours or on-call requirements associated with this position.
You will be paid a competitive and fixed monthly compensation rate and provided with professional liability insurance. There are no third-party billing or productivity requirements. You will have ample time to spend with your patients – most of whom have historically been underserved.
You’re a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in Maine as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy and have successfully completed a residency in either Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
