Job Title: Prepress Operator

Job Overview: The Prepress Operator will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all digital files before they are printed. They will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure that all files are properly formatted and optimized for printing. The Prepress Operator will use their skills in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe CC, Wasatch Rip Software, Suma Cutting, Acrobat, and the Lean 5s Methodology to perform their duties.

Responsibilities:

• Review and prepare digital files (when needed) for printing using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe CC.
• Use Wasatch Rip Software to process and print files to a high standard.
• Operate the Suma Cutting machine to cut printed materials to the required size and shape.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of all printed materials.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the prepress process.
• Follow the Lean 5s methodology to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure that all projects are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate records of all jobs completed and materials used.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in prepress operations (EPSON PRE-PRESS experience is a plus!)
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe CC.
• Proficiency in Wasatch Rip Software.
• Experience operating Suma Cutting machine.
• Experience with Acrobat and the Lean 5s Methodology is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
