Job description

Looking for a CNC Machinist for a machine shop in Atwater, CA

Responsibilities:

• Make parts to specifications using CNC lathe and CNC mill machines
• Measure, examine, and test completed units to find any defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments.
• Set up, adjust, and operate specialized and advanced machine tools.
• Align and secure machine holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Study sample parts, blueprints, and drawings to determine the sequence of methods and operations necessary to fabricate products.
• Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display the placement of cuts.
• Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment.
• Fit and assemble parts to make or repair tool machines.
• Work with different types of materials like: steels, plastics, aluminums, etc.
• Must be able to work in a team or independently.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift or move heavy objects
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment: safety glasses and closed-toe shoes

Experience:

• 2 year (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
