Job Summary:

Strategize and execute strategic PR campaigns for GWR publishing titles as well as GWR brand awareness to encompass high-profile media partnerships as directed.

Responsibilities include brand protection, PR announcements and high-profile media partnerships.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Spanish language brand campaigns (June – Sept)

  • Identify opportunities with Spanish Language media partners that fulfil GWR's brand equity objectives
  • Deliver localized PR adjudications and record holder announcements designed to generate positive publicity and brand awareness
  • Project manage iconic and high-profile record holder announcements from the region, working collaboratively with other international Comms teams
  • Oversee the LATAM press office with support from the Americas PR Executive
  • Organise photo and video assets in collaboration with Global Digital teams
  • Conduct ongoing media monitoring, post-campaign analysis and quarterly reports to wider management teams
  • Manage allocated budgets under supervision of Senior PR Manager and Marketing Director

Spanish language crisis management (June – Sept)

  • Act as first point of contact for any brand-related risks within the LatAm region
  • Manage evaluation and measurement of risk activity using internal resources such as risk log
  • Maintain a triage system which dictates which enquiries are responded too, and which are priorities to respond to within 24 hours
  • Provide insights during local risk meetings
  • Write and circulate internal reports, coverage summaries and updates for the company
  • Serve as brand approvals backup to Consultancy teams as required.

Publishing campaign projects (Sept – Dec)

  • Identify opportunities and manage earned media campaigns that drive book sales in North America
  • Work with wider Americas comms teams to support on specific projects and announcements across English and Spanish languages as directed.
  • Collaborate with licensees & agencies to provide assets and associated materials, for regional campaigns
  • Organise photo and video assets with Global Publishing teams

Other Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Multi-year experience in Consumer PR, preferably with existing mainstream media contacts
  • Must be able to proactively strategize and execute measurable PR campaigns
  • Experience handling risk and brand protection
  • Proficient in English and Spanish language (limited proficiency in Portuguese a plus)
  • Reliable, confident and enthusiastic with the ability to communicate well externally as well as with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously
  • Ability to work cross functionally across the PR department, managing different deadlines, languages, and executors
  • Computer literate – proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint/Word
