JOB TITLE Policy and Customer Service Representative

REPORTS TO: VP of Policy Services

OVERVIEW

The Policy Service Representative will provide exemplary customer service in a fast paced, high call volume environment. The representative will display effective time management and sound decision-making abilities. The representative will deliver meticulous underwriting with attention to detail.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer Service Functions
• Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers at all times
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries
• Communicate with customers through various channels
• Keep records of customer interactions, transactions and comments
• Policy Service/Underwriting Functions
• Use sound decision making abilities to process all types of policy transactions
• Review suspense items and uploaded documents and determine acceptability
• Apply payments, process refunds, handle NSF payments
• Provide letters of experience on policies as needed
• Review and handle department voicemail, emails, mail, faxes and texts
• Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Experience preferred, but not required
• Proficient with MS Office
• Demonstrates a high degree of judgment and discretion
• Demonstrates effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills
• Promotes a favorable company image to the public
• Positive attitude and Team player
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
