Pharmacist (IV Supervisor) - Full Time / 1st Shift (8 hr shifts, 10 per pay period)
Job description
Provides pharmaceutical services to the medical center including but not limited to drug distribution, education, patient care activities, and personal knowledge that promotes quality and cost effective patient care. Provides oversight to to USP 797, USP 800 and USP795 guidelines and is responsible for assessment, implementation and employee competencies.
Education REQUIRED: B.S in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
Experience REQUIRED: Hospital experience is not a requirement. Previous hospital experience and/or a residency/internship in a gereral hospital environment is preferred. Experience or training with USP guidelines for sections 797, 800, and 795 are preferred.
Licenses/Certificates REQUIRED: Alabama State Board of Pharmacy License, State of Alabama Controlled Substance Permit and Alabama State Boared of Pharmacy Parenteral Pharmacist Permit. The Parenteral Pharmacist Permit must be obtained within 180days of the hire date if not available prior to accepting the position.
