Incumbent communicates with the public to ensure proper usage of Peirce Island, parking, boat launch, and assist with enforcement.
This position is part-time, 20 hours a week, with a mix of weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise usage of patrons on Peirce Island, ensure usage is for Island use only.

Locate available parking spaces for boat launches, collect fees for seasonal launch passes and daily fee launches. Fee collecting is kept in a safe box and removed each day. Checks and cash are documented in RecPro.

Boaters will launch and secure their own boats, but staff will assist as needed. Staff are briefly trained in the safety of boats.

Assist public in location of outdoor pool, parks, and walking trails on the island.

Enforce dog rules of the island.

Communication with the public on safety tides, currents and launch locations. Assist additional staff as needed and communicate with supervisor of any issues each day.

Maintain parking areas by picking up trash and assist in routine maintenance with the Department of Public Works.

Perform related work as required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Incumbent must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Boating and customer service experience is desired. Full Job Description
