Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS)
is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative for our fast-paced Gig Harbor Olympic Dr. clinic.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Process all activity related to OSS's patient services. Patient service includes scheduling, insurance verification, follow-ups, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources. In addition, PSR will perform other daily operating functions associated with the front desk position. Hours are Monday- Friday between the hours of 7:20 am - 6:00 pm.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage all aspects of high-volume patient scheduling

  • Receive incoming patient phone calls.
  • Collect necessary information from patients for treatment and billing purposes.
  • Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations if required.
  • Fax appropriate paperwork to referral sources.
  • Scan documents into the patient's account.
  • Build and maintain all patient charts.
  • Collect any money owed from patients, balance all money nightly, and print reports.
  • Maintain statistical log sheets daily to include all follow-ups.
  • Pull charts for the next day's appointments and make reminder calls
  • Work daily on the Patient Issue Listing and task list to resolve all issues.
  • Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.
  • Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve all patient matters.
  • Open and sort mail daily.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.

Education/Experience: Minimum High School graduation or equivalent AND three years of experience in physical therapy clinic or other medical clinic-related position OR Equivalent education/experience.
