Memorial Medical Clinic – Carthage (Float position – will float between clinics for coverage of vacations and call-in’s)

8:00am-5:00pm (days and hours may vary depending on clinic location floated to)
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED No experience required; on-the-job training will be provided. Communication Skills, ability to work a flexible schedule as it relates to department demands, ability to interact with client population and provide excellent customer service.
Description
Job Summary: The Patient Experience Specialist creates a positive patient experience by consistently exceeding expectations in customer service and patient care, by coordination clerical, administrative, and operational support for the organization. Strong, motivational and organizational skills are necessary to fulfill the varied responsibilities as noted and expected in this position.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling appointments/patient interviews, data entry and the use of EPIC, the electronic medical record.
  • Pre-registering patients prior to appointment and gathering all necessary information needed for visit encounter.
  • Records necessary demographic data changes in the electronic medical record.
  • Answers the telephone by the third ring.
  • Takes precise messages by getting the patient’s full name and spelling, date of birth, complete description of phone call.
  • Working closely with our Prior Authorization Department to insure insurance eligibility/benefits.
  • Develops and maintains an efficient and effective process for running the office operations including but not limited to maintaining conference room meeting schedule, scheduling meetings, note taking at meetings, supply ordering, and other functions as assigned.
  • Responsible for checking fax machine periodically and ensuring that faxes are distributed accurately.
  • Provides daily productivity to providers and management as needed.
  • Provides equality among all patients in the practice without regard for ability to pay for services.
  • Identifies, logs, and resolves patient complaints with regular reports to the Director of Patient Experience.
