As a Tutor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are:

Just Teaching. No Lesson Plans. No Preparation.

As a part-time Sylvan Tutor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group, 3:1 setting. You will provide personalized instruction in Reading, Writing, and Math to students of all levels.

We are currently hiring at our Lima, Wapakoneta, and Delphos Locations

Tutor Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Teaching Credential recommended -or- currently pursuing a degree in Education
• You must enjoy teaching, working, and inspiring students. (We want you to be happy here!)
• Being punctual is extremely important. You must be local and have reliable transportation.

What you should know:

• You will use pre-planned lessons. They are straightforward, easy to manage, and fun to teach.
• Teach students in a small group setting. There will be no more than 3 students per teacher.
• We require a minimum of two days a week with Friday and Saturday rotations during the school year.
• We are open for instruction weekday afternoons (M-R 4-8pm and F 4-6pm), Saturday mornings (school year only) and mornings (summer only).
