Valley Sweeping is a parking lot maintenance company based in in Lewiston, ID. Our goal is to keep our cities clean through exceptional service and unmatched work ethic and efficiency.

We are seeking a motivated part time evening and weekend shift Street Sweeping Tech to join our night time sweeping team. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping our city's streets, parking lots, and sidewalks clean and free of debris, litter, and other forms of pollution. If you enjoy driving and working by yourself this is the job for you!

This is a perfect position for someone looking for supplemental income in addition to their primary employment. If you are retired and are looking for some supplemental work, this is a great fit for you!

Responsibilities:

• Operate street sweeping equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to supervisor
• Pick up litter, debris, and other forms of pollution along the streets, parking lots, and sidewalks
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure thorough coverage of assigned areas
• Clean and maintain assigned equipment and tools
• Maintain accurate records of assigned tasks and report any issues or concerns to supervisor
• Perform winter services such as plowing and de-icing during the snow season
• If you are a mechanic or have strong mechanic skills this is a big bonus

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating heavy equipment, semi, or street sweepers
• Ability to operate street sweeping equipment and other related tools
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic regulations
• Good physical condition and ability to lift objects up to 50lbs
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends
• Must be able to pass required drug testing
• Must have a clean driving record for the past 5 years
