Farmer’s Market Admin Manager

Immediate duties :

- Learn market management software for market and vendor management - Assign new vendors to spaces using market management software - Coordinate with the bookkeeping department regarding income reconciliation reports - Receive mail and scan bills to bookkeeping department to issue payments - Collect payments from vendors, issue receipts, complete log reports and make bank deposits - Manage social media accounts. Allocate a time each day to work with customers and others to answer queries, foster good relations, and generally promote the activity of the market.

- Develop a process manual/sheet for all duties/responsibilities

● Manager should be at the Market on all Market days. Other hours are flexible as required to accomplish required tasks in a timely manner.

● Market days are each Wednesday 7:00 AM to 3 PM (or later) and approx 4 Saturdays annually

1. General Description The Market Administrative Assistant, under general direction from the Owner, has day-to-day responsibility for the successful operation of the Farmer’s Market. This is a part-time job, it is expected that the Market Administrative Manager will be at the Market on all Market days, other hours are flexible, as required to accomplish the required tasks in a timely manner. Market days are Wednesdays and Saturdays.

This includes, but is not limited to, the assignment of space locations for vendors; the management of the Information Booth /Office and T-shirt sales; interface with the public and the vendors; resolution of conflicts or problems that may arise; and the collection, control, and documentation of rent.

2. Vendor & Contractor Relations – Develop and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring timely communications and resolution of issues or problems; monitor vendors' operations and ensures compliance with Market rules and agreements. Communicate and solicit additional vendors as needed, develop and screen applications, and monitor the quality of products and presentations. Provides orientation and training to new vendors and offers ongoing coaching to help ensure vendors’ success.

3. Market Promotion – Interact with the public at the Market, monitor, and ensure the Market’s attractiveness and appeal. Work with the Management to develop and implement strategies to enhance Market quality and increase total sales. Develop recommendations to enhance the Market(s) and promote L Lewisburg Farmers Market in a positive, professional manner. Model and promote collaborative and respectful communications and relationships. Monitor Facebook and reply to messages or comments.

4. Planning – Works with and provides input to the Owner in the development of business plans and work programs. Prepares reports and keeps the Owner informed regarding the status of the Market’s progress toward established goals.

5. Pay - Pay is based on skills and experience. No health insurance or retirement is available for this part-time position.

6. Other Duties - Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by the Owner.
