Job description

We are looking for a full-time Parent-teen Mediator (Masters Level) to work as a part of a team with our Parent-Teen Specialist (Bachelor level) within our Parent Teen Mediation Program.

What does the program do?

Provide team based in-home counseling to families with children 8-21 years old who are experiencing conflict, struggling to create or maintain a positive home environment, or having difficulty managing a child or teenager’s behavior. We focus on structure, communication, and relationship skill building to enhance family function.

What experience do I need to apply?

1. Master’s (for Mediator position) or Bachelor's Degree (for Specialist position) in Social Work, Psychology, or other Human Service related field

2. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience working with adolescents and families

3. Experience and comfort working in home environments

4. Knowledge of theories and evidence based practice related to working with adolescents and their families

5. Availability to maintain a flexible work schedule throughout the week (including weekend days) to meet with families based upon their convenience

Where would my office be located?

The office is located in Uptown (by Mercy hospital), but because this is primarily a mobile position, you'll spend your time in the family's home.

Where are the families I am assigned to located?

They are all located within Allegheny County.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
