Job description

We have an immediate need for a Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation paralegal with at least two years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for 60-100 clients. As we use a collaborative approach where the paralegal and lawyer work as a team, your input, initiative and insight matter. You must be able to monitor the case; draft, file and serve hearing requests, appeals and prehearing briefs; speak to adjusters, nurse case managers and defense counsel about medical and compensation issues; understand legal and evidentiary issues to assist the attorney in preparing the case for hearing or mediation; screen and interview new clients; schedule and notice depositions; set up independent medical evaluations; request medical records and organize them appropriately in a file; prepare settlement packages and demand letters; understand and be able to navigate health insurance/ Medicare/Medicaid/ subrogation liens and be responsible for the client's well-being.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have a minimum of three years experience as a personal injury and workers' compensation paralegal.
