Master's Level Alcohol & Drug Counselor Therapist Job Description

GOAL

As an outpatient Master's Level Alcohol & Drug Counselor, you will provide evidence-based therapy to our clients who are seeking recovery from co-occuring substance use and mental health disorders You will provide high quality, compassionate care through various mediums, which include in-person or remote, individual outpatient and group intensive outpatient program counseling sessions. You will plan, facilitate and document the client’s treatment and progress. Must have the ability to work as part of a close-knit team as well as independently when needed. This is a full-time position and will be based out of our North Conway location, as well as providing services in the Littleton area, via in-person and/or telehealth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Reports to the Clinical Director.

· Use evidence-based therapy that will encourage and support emotional, spiritual (if requested) and behavioral wellness.

· Provide evaluations, assessments, treatment plans, and crisis intervention if needed.

· Conduct individual, family, couples, group, or IDCMP counseling sessions as scheduled and document those sessions in our EMR system.

· Ensure that all documentation regarding client care, treatment, incidents are recorded in a clear and timely manner.

· May be asked to facilitate group counseling sessions.

· Continually assess client needs, service availability and appropriateness.

· Attend weekly clinical meetings and weekly supervision.

· Work closely and cooperatively with all agency members and operate well as a team player.

· May provide case management duties if needed, ensuring individualized care for each client.

· Complete required documentation in a timely fashion.

· Evaluate individual client needs to determine if a referral to other programs/services may be appropriate.

· Maintain and uphold WHR policies and procedures for operations, compliance and safety.

· Attend required trainings necessary for continuous licensure.

· Other duties as needed.

MLADC Therapist Requirements

NH Clinical license in Human Services (MLADC license REQUIRED). Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, Reality Therapy, Person-Centered, Matrix Model, Strengths-Based and ASAM criteria. Knowledge and experience with the following screenings: ASI, SASSI, Revised MAST, AUDIT, DAST and Depression Screenings. Ability to work with probation/parole and Drug court as well as 12 Step Recovery Programs: AA, NA, SMART Recovery and Celebrate Recovery. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products including One Drive, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Must have good time-management skills and the ability to learn in-house EMR system. Background checks required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
