Job Title: Med-Surg Ortho Nurse

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Med-Surg Ortho Nurse to join our team at a reputable hospital in Camp Hill, PA. The ideal candidate must have exceptional knowledge of orthopedic conditions and treatment procedures to provide optimum patient care. You will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to plan and execute patient care protocols.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administer medication and monitor patient progress
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on necessary actions to take after surgery/procedure
• Assist surgeons in pre and post-operative procedures
• Monitor vital signs and perform assessments of patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on patient care protocols
• Keep up to date patient records and progress reports
• Provide quality patient care based on hospital standards

Qualifications and Skills:

• RN License
• Previous experience in Orthopedic care preferred
• ACLS/BLS certification
• Experience with orthopedic diagnoses and treatment
• Knowledge of sterile techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with standard practices and procedures of the nursing profession
