We are looking for a talented Operations Equipment Director , who will be responsible for oversight of all operations for test equipment and cutting tool products. Profit & Loss statement responsibility for Test Equipment business unit. Responsible for operational teams, including engineering, proposal, manufacturing, project management, procurement, and facility. Responsible to develop & manage efficient operational teams and processes to drive cost efficiency, on-time delivery, scalable growth, and customer satisfaction across LINK’s global test equipment manufacturing operations.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Managing operations P&L, keeping in line with approved business plans and driving decisions based on planned revenue budgets
  • Oversight and management of all operational teams, including engineering, manufacturing, project management, procurement, and facilities
  • Set and drive goals and key performance indicators for individual teams, to support business goals for profitability, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Establish scalable teams and processes for sustainable growth
  • Proactive management within business units pertaining to staffing, capital, and training requirements
  • Follow, develop, and improve overall operational management system and best practices
  • Measure, monitor and drive improvement on customer satisfaction scores
  • Direct inventory management and procurement processes within business units to support efficient cash flow management, on-time delivery, and Lean manufacturing principles
  • Drive procurement team and processes to develop reliable suppliers and supporting competitive bidding practices
  • Know the business at a detailed level within your assigned areas. This includes but not limited to: key customer relationship, revenue drivers, cost drivers, margins by product, margins by customer, levers you can pull for cost containment, applied time, value of unapplied time
  • Responsible for Talent Management processes within assigned area. This includes but not limited to: strategic resource reviews, performance management, succession planning, compensation processes and maintaining adequate staffing levels per business needs
  • Responsible for Training and Development initiatives within assigned area: coordination and execution of Individual Development Plans and associated training/development assignments
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture within your team documenting, recommending and implementing improvement opportunities through our quality system
  • Own challenges within your assigned area and work with management to find solutions
  • Own the hiring and termination process for responsible area maintaining adequate staffing levels
  • Ensure safe working conditions for all and use of all available safety equipment
  • Ensure adherence to legal and ethical business practices
  • Ensure adherence company policies
  • Ensure adherence to LINK quality process and procedures
  • Be a role model and advocate of the LINK culture that is consistent and emphasizes the identified mission, vision, and values of the organization

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years in operational leadership experience
  • Minimum of 5 years working collaboratively and managing teams
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience & aptitude
  • Relative experience in managing profit & loss statements and operational budgets
  • Exposure to or experience in managing procurement operations
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and practices
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Assists with executive and organizational projects as needed
