The Hole In The Wall in San Diego, CA is looking for one night club security to join our 21 person strong team. We are located on 2820 Lytton Street. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable. We encourage you to talk with guests and create relationships with them. Even asking how your night is going, chances are you can tell their sobriety by their response.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

*ENSURE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH A TEAM EFFORT OF DILIGENT ACTIVE PATROL *CONTROL, MONITORING, AND EQUIPMENT CONTROL *BE VISIBLE AND OBSERVANT AT ALL TIMES, GREETING STAFF, GUESTS, AND VENDORS IN A COURTEOUS MANNER *UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENT PRONOUNS, GENDER, AND SEXUAL IDENTITIES THAT OUR GUESTS MAY HAVE. WE HAVE LOTS, SO POLITELY ASK *RESPOND IMMEDIATELY TO DISTRESS CALLS, PANIC ALARMS, AND EMERGENCY CALLS FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT, DISRUPTIVE PERSONS, AND INCIDENTS SWIFTLY AND APPROPRIATELY *MAINTAIN THE COMPANY’S REPUTATION WITH PROFESSIONALISM AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE *COLLABORATE WITH OTHER SECURITY PERSONNEL FOR EFFECTIVE PROTECTION AND COVERAGE *ABILITY TO CHECK ID'S FOR PATRONS THAT APPEAR UNDER 35 YEARS , ACCORDING TO STATE REGULATIONS *POLITELY CHECK PURSES AND BACKPACK *SMILE, BE COURTEOUS YET ASSERTIVE. *NEVER REMOVE SOMEONE OUT OF THE BAR/NIGHT CLUB WITHOUT A 2ND SECURITY GUARD * MUST BE RELIABLE AND HAVE A PROFESSIONAL DEMEANOR GOOD TEMPERAMENT *MUST WEAR RADIO FOR COMMUNICATION WITH STAFF AND USE METAL DETECTOR *KEEP FIRE EXITS AND PROHIBITED AREAS CLEAR *ADVISE BARTENDERS IF A PATRON APPEARS OVERLY INTOXICATED *MUST ESCORT UNRULY PATRONS OUT OF BAR IN A RESPECTFUL MANNER *YOU MAY BE ASKED BY YOUR SUPERVISOR TO DO SOMETHING THAT IS NOT ON THE LIST. BEING ATTENTIVE AND HAVING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE WILL GET YOU ALONG WAY *MUST BE LGBTQA+ FRIENDLY

Qualifications

*3-5 Years experience preferred *Guard card must be on hand at time of interview. *Customer Service Focused- You need to have the ability to deescalate and walk people out. If they insult on the way out just let them run their mouths. However, insulting security or any member of the bar is grounds for immediate dismissal. Once they are asked to leave they must do so immediately. *Ability to calmly and rationally de-escalate situations *Ability to keep an accurate headcount *Making sure the bar is clean at all times *Wear a clean 'Security' shirt at every shift. One will be provided for you and will be deducted from final pay. *Must active shooter training course certification, must provide upon hire * Must provide reference at time of interview
