Position: Night Auditor

Reports To: Supervisor, AGM, GM

Position Summary: To Welcome guests and Sell guest rooms. To have a complete understanding of front office procedures and organizational structure of the hotel. To be an exceptional first point of contact for all guests, whether on the phone or upon arrival at the hotel.

Essential Functions: The following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

  • Follow the Company Standards and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Neat, clean, well groomed appearance. Appropriate uniform and name tag.
  • Complete knowledge of reservation system. Knowledge of brand programs.
  • Works in an efficient manner. Completes tasks, job duties, special projects and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for processing transactions accurately and balancing cash drawer.
  • Completing daily transaction reports.
  • Handle all incoming calls professionally. Correctly and consistently apply Sales Training methods.
  • Greets and completes established check-in procedures for arriving guests on a daily basis, using both manual and computerized methods, in order to ensure guest are satisfied and in rooms as requested.
  • Facilitates guest departure (check-out) on a daily basis by following established manual and computer procedures in order to close guest accounts and open the room for the next sell.
  • Regularly calculates and/or posts money, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit using accurate, proper cash handling methods and established procedures in order to present the customer with timely and precise hotel charges upon check-out and maintain accurate hotel records.
  • Prepare & setup breakfast for the guest in early morning
  • Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations, both in person and by telephone, by accurately communicating hotel rates and information and by using suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue.
  • Maintains good customer relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses, in person and on telephone.
  • Operates the PBX equipment by accepting incoming calls, assisting outgoing calls, scheduling and setting wake-up calls and paging guests to provide guests with timely and efficient service.
  • Controls cash transactions at the front desk and maintains complete responsibility for personal bank as specified by hotel bank agreement policy.
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Specific Job Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk/stand a total of 8 hours in a day.
  • Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • Communications skills required both written and oral
  • General knowledge and experience with computers
  • Customer service skills and experience
  • Signature Training required if provided

Schedule Requirements

  • Must be available to work 2 nights in a row between Monday to Thursday
  • Must be reliable to work as scheduled with minimal schedule change requests
  • MINIMAL SCHEDULE CHANGES WILL BE DONE

Job Type: PART TIME

BACKGROUND CHECK : Mandatory

SALARY: $16.00 - $19.00depending on experience and 90 Days Review

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
