Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Network Services Professional located at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA. The Network Services Professional will provide network services in support of the Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) programs.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provide advanced network services knowledge, to advise and support work, that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES:
Include but are not limited to:
- Interface with a team of military, Government civilian, contractor project managers and FFRDC/A&AS support personnel in the day-to-day activities associated with management of Base Area Network (BAN) and Wireless (WiFi) programs/projects.
- Analyze, maintain, and recommend network architectures, requirements, and infrastructure
- Analyze network workload
- Monitor network capacity and performance
- Diagnose and resolve network problems
- Recommend network backup and recovery procedures
- Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
- Support implementation and execution of Agile software execution in concert with Government and Prime contractors
- Advise and support the software development Service Oriented Architectures
- Document repeatable processes for users to follow
- Proven ability to perform PowerShell Scripting is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Acquisition life cycle technical/analytical systems/software engineering/support skills
- Automated Testing Knowledge
- Additional consideration given to candidates with Commercial IT Networking Experience, and IT Certifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS and 15 years of technical network experience, 5 of which must be DoD or 20 years of technical network experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in DoD
- Network engineering technical certification equivalent to Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Five to ten (5-10) years experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networks to include hardware (switches, routers), software (operating system), network management systems, network access control, quality of service (QoS), network services (timing, logging, etc.), and distribution systems (fiber and copper cables and infrastructure).
